The Season has Begun

Sat. March 29 at 9:30 a.m. the games began. We will know be spending a lot of time at the ballfields watching games and not just practices. Tatum had her first t-ball game. She was so excited. All morning while I was getting her hair fixed and her uniform on she insisted that we were taking too long and she probably missed everything because she could not wait to go, then we could not get her to take her uniform off until it was bedtime. It is always fun to watch the young ones playing t-ball. Ben, Jessica and Taya showed up a little after 10 so that they could take in some t-ball as well. We all then came home to my house, had lunch and waited for the time to leave for Tre' and Tucker's game. Tre' played at 3:45 and they lost 5-2. The team had a few errors but all in all they played well for their first game. We faced a tough pitcher. Tucker's game started at 5:30. His game is a little more difficult to watch. His age group is the in between coach pitch and actually being able to hit off kids pitching too you. At first there were several strike outs until the kids figured out that if they just stood there they would get a walk because the kids just do not pitch strikes well enough yet. As the season progresses hopefully they will figure it out. We have many more games to attend. If anyone would like to join us and cheer the kids on let us know and we will let you know when the upcoming games are.

ZOO

Jared and I took the kids to the zoo on the 15th of March and decided to buy a zoo pass since the price of one day admission is almost the same price. The kids are on spring break so I asked Jessica if she and Taya wanted to go with us the following Friday. Ben and Kati found out we were going to go and wanted to come hang out with us and the Thursday before Dad called and said that he and mom were going to come down and bring Eric and Tyler and Kali (Brian's new wife's kids, he recently married Ginger LeBaron). We had alot of fun spending the day together. The weather was good and the zoo well lets just say it was a zoo literally. There were a lot of people there. We went and watched the Orangutangs, they are really fun to watch the baby is so cute. The kids like going to harmony farm and brushing the goats hair. Kati's fiance Boston joined us that day too. We found a slide that was in the shape of a cactus and Boston decided to go down it. Half way down we heard him yell "I am stuck." He managed to get himself unstuck and went on to tell us that that felt like he was going through the birth canal. I do not know how he remembers what that was like. He is quite the comic sometimes. We then took the kids to the sting ray exhibit and the kids were able to touch the sting ray's. All in all we had a good time. We now need to talk Grandma and Grandpa into to going to the "Happiest Place on Earth" (Disneyland). We will have to see.

Easter Pageant

It is a tradition that started with my Grandma Bowers to have fried chicken and potato salad on Easter. It is a tradition that started with my mom to have fried chicken and potato salad at the Easter pageant, so I decided to see if I could get the family together for the pageant and have fried chicken and potato salad. It went over well. I invited my parents and siblings and their significant other if they had one and their children and my in-laws (Jared's family). We had a good turn out. There was about 20 of us there with plenty of food to go around. Thanks mom for helping me fry the chicken and get the potato salad done. Dad arrived at the temple at about 5:30 to save us all a seat on the lawn (seats fill up fast). Thanks Dad. The rest of us showed up around 7:30. The pageant was good as usual. I have seen it many times but this time it seemed different, and I probably came away with a lot more. I love this time of year, baseball season, spring, Easter and family. Thanks to all who took time out of their busy schedules to spend the evening with us.

It is a zoo at our house.

Well baseball has officially begun at our house. Jared's J.V. baseball team has played a few games already and that is going well for them. I believe they only have 1 loss and 3 wins. Baseball for the kids started on monday. Tre' is playing on the Majors this year, Tucker will be playing on the AAA team and Tatum is playing T-ball, and what would you know all of their practices are on the same days same time and different places in the Queen Creek area. They are all a couple miles a part from each other. Tatum had her first practice on Thursday and she was so much fun to watch, she really enjoyed it. I asked her if we could hang up cheer and play sports and she told me "I have not tried make-up cheer yet". She wants to be on a cheer or dance team where she can wear makeup. As for me I am just trying to keep my sanity in all of this. I will post pictures as soon as I get them. They are fun!

Family day out on the quads

We planned a day out on our quads with my siblings. My sister Jessica and her husband Nic and daughter Taya, brother Ben, sister Kati and fiance' Boston, and us. We had four quads out there and had so much fun. We had lunch and got a little dirty (we found some mud puddles and I happened to find the only cow pie). We have to get together and do this again. It was such a beautiful day out and we just relaxed enjoyed each others company and enjoyed the jetted sound from the tail pipes. Vroom, Vroooom.

While we were out on the quads Tre' had his first accident. He was going up a steep hill and did not quite make it and started to roll backwards and ended up flipping the quad one and a half times. He was pretty shaken up and quite bruised but it was a good thing we make him wear a helmet. Here are some pictures of what happened to his pants.

A few of our many extra-curricular activities.

I have been wanting to post these for awhile now. These are part of our many extra-curricular activities, Tre' and Tucker playing basketball and Tatum at state cheer competition.
